Get to Know Caroline

Caroline Leonard is a visual artist born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She completed her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky; she earned a double major degree in Art Education and Art Studio in Spring 2026. Caroline’s art connects to overarching ideas about women’s rights and identity, which she conveys throughout many mediums. Caroline also plays with themes of irony/humor, which is conveyed through hybridization of forms. Caroline has participated in many art exhibitions, both inside and outside of the university. Caroline now plans on continuing to create art, while also becoming an art educator. She is continuously creating engaging and unique art lessons for the benefit of her future classroom. She has delivered various lessons during her student teaching placements that students responded extremely positively to. She is very excited to teach about her love of art to students across all ages.
